CHANGING CHENNAI

This humorous and thoughtful ensemble in watercolour and dry pastels captures the interplay of the old and new in Chennai. Kavitha uses playful lines in dry pastels in addition to watercolour to emphasise the lighter vein of these paintings. She says: “I love this city, and the way it allows tradition and change to live side by side. That’s what makes it vibrant and unique, and I wanted to explore some facets of these co-existing cultures with these paintings."
